About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect to lead the architectural foundation of an AI-driven workflow optimization platform designed for Fortune 1000 clients. This role involves selecting and implementing core frameworks, defining data structures, and establishing a high-performance backend system. This is a hands-on, leadership position where you will drive key architectural decisions from the ground up, creating a scalable, resilient, and efficient platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of the platform’s core architecture, focusing on a modular, microservices-based approach. Establish standards for backend systems, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, security, and scalability.
Multi-Tenant and Multi-User Framework: Architect and implement a multi-tenant, multi-user framework tailored for enterprise-level clients, ensuring security, scalability, and optimal performance.
Backend Integration for Complex Frontend Systems: Build backend systems designed to support complex frontend applications using GraphQL, server-side rendering, and component-based frameworks. Ensure that the backend infrastructure is optimized for data-intensive, dynamic, multi-user environments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, UX, and frontend engineering teams to align on architectural decisions, ensuring a cohesive and user-centered platform experience.
Data Frameworks: Define and implement data architectures, including SQL/NoSQL databases for transactional processing and a robust reporting framework that supports complex analytics requirements.
API and Third-Party Integrations: Design and implement reusable, robust APIs to facilitate seamless integration with external third-party systems. Ensure APIs are secure, performant, and able to handle large volumes of data, providing a scalable foundation for integrations with various enterprise systems.
Best Practices and Modern Frameworks: Establish and promote development best practices across the engineering team. Ensure that all developers adhere to coding standards, maintain clean code, and follow modern frameworks and practices. Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, technical guidance, and mentorship, helping the team stay aligned with industry standards.
AI and ML Integration: Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to implement data frameworks and pipelines for traditional ML and GenAI capabilities, enabling the integration of AI-driven insights within the platform.
Technology Selection: Lead the evaluation and selection of core technologies, including databases, backend frameworks, and tools, while keeping abreast of emerging technologies that could benefit the platform’s growth and innovation.
Requirements:
Experience: 10+ years architecting and implementing complex systems for large-scale, enterprise-grade applications, with a focus on multi-tenant, multi-user environments.
Technical Leadership: Proven track record of technical leadership in guiding and mentoring engineering teams. Strong ability to drive architectural direction, enforce best practices, and inspire continuous improvement across the team.
Technical Expertise:
Extensive experience with Node.js and TypeScript,
A strong command of SQL/NoSQL databases.
In-depth knowledge of GraphQL, server-side rendering, and component-based frameworks to support complex frontend systems.
Proficiency in dynamic, real-time multi-user application environments.
Deep understanding of microservices architecture, data frameworks, and backend support for transactional and reporting systems.
Familiarity with Python, data pipelines and frameworks supporting both traditional ML and GenAI.
Experience in Regulated Industries: Proven experience working in regulated industries, understanding compliance requirements and ensuring architecture meets industry-specific regulations.
Cloud and Software Security Protocols: Strong background in cloud infrastructure and software security protocols, with experience implementing secure, compliant architectures in cloud environments.
Collaboration Skills: Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, with a focus on alignment across backend and frontend engineering.
